| Description | There is an application named "Android TV Data Saver" and it comes from GTVS packages. And, there is update for this application but it can't be updated with following messages. 09-24 10:06:36.825 system_server 742 820 W PackageManager Package com.google.android.apps.nbu.smartconnect.tv is a persistent app. Persistent apps are not updateable. I think this app can't update under runtime and it should be applied to firmware manually. Is there any update for "Android TV Data Saver" in GTVS repository? This app is located in vendor/google_gtvs/**/google/apps/SmartConnectTV.apk. | ||||

Hi Sangmin, Below is Smart Connect description in ATV help center. "Smart Connect optimizes the Android TV experience for markets that have low adoption levels of broadband internet connections in the home, for example, in India. Data Saver helps users enjoy their smart TV by using a phone hotspot while conserving data usage." I think we can remove this apk from next F/W build because it will not be useful and necessary in Korea. |

Hi Sangmin, This app is not "required" app of GTVS packages, I think we can remove it from next F/W build. |
